Spring has sprung … almost!
We’re nearly half way throgh April and we’ve seen no consistent warming pattern on our farm. We also hope that April showers do bring May flowers because we’ve had a lot of the former!
Our Alpacas are happy to see spring, and are working the pastures for every blade of new grass. This year, for the first time, we will be shearing our Alpacas on our farm. Shearing this year will be on Wednesday, April 27 in the afternoon. If you would like to see a shearing give us a call and come on out. You might find it interesting to see the process as our Alpacas deposit their winter coats on the shearing rug and take on a whole new spring (skinny) appearance.
The traditional holiday of spring, Easter, is fast upon us. Just a reminder that we have rabbits, bears, ponies and lions all made from Alpaca fleece. They make great gifts and basket stuffers. We also have added to our line of Pacabell parducts. The line now includes hand & body wash, lotions, soap, natural wood soap trays, beeswax lip balm and herbal bath salts. These products are all organic, paraben free, and made in the USA. We have also added some new scents - Fresh Milk, Shea and an unscented version. WE are happy to ship anywhere in the USA. Call us to order, or schedule a trip to our farm and store, or see many of our products at Pearl’s Market in Eagle.
We will once again be participating in Glenmoore Community Day. This year it has been moved up to May 21, starting at 4:00 PM, once again at Wagenseller Park. Come by and visit with us.
As the weather warms and the grass green-up it’s a great time to come out and see our Alpacas, and wander through our farm store. Please call us and arrange a farm visit. Hope to see you soon!
