Spring is showtime in the alpaca world and we are gearing up to attend PAOBA (Pennsylvania Alpaca Owner and Breeder Association) on Friday, May 8th through Sunday, May 10th. Spring is when most of the shows occur so the alpacas can be shown in full fleece enabling the judges to see the quality of their fleece. They are grouped by gender, color and age for judging. Very similar to a dog show with much bigger contestants! We are busy training two of our boys, Gattlin and Gunner. Try to attend! Admission is free and there are hundreds of alpacas to see as well as vendors, free seminars and demonstrations such as spinning and shearing. Fun day for the whole family to enjoy!
